Specks of Dust
Divya and Darun share a deep and troubled relationship born out of a place of mental instability, violence and fear. Their father, a member of the Black Consciousness Movement, fights for normality whilst seeking equilibrium in a deranged relationship. Specks of Dust examines the lives of the children of an Indian family living the injustices of the apartheid system.
These circumstances twist and unhinge the characters of players in a game of survival against stacked odds, as deep secrets and wounded souls are laid bare. How far will Divya go to be her brother’s keeper? Can this end well?
320 Days of Sunshine
320 Days of Sunshine is an anthology of memoirs and short stories celebrating the resilient spirit of KwaZulu-Natal, exploring heartbreak, discrimination, and the balance between tradition and modernity, all threaded through with hope.
My contribution, “Resilience Rising: The Ubuntu Amulet,” follows the Mthembu family in the aftermath of Durban’s devastating floods, where a mysterious young woman leads them to a legendary relic whose power can only be unlocked through acts of love, compassion, forgiveness, and unity. As the community rallies to rebuild, the story becomes a meditation on Ubuntu itself. It becomes a belief that we are made whole through one another.

Naomi and Peter
My first published work is a children’s short story for CEA Greatest Anthology Written Guinness, called Naomi and Peter. The publication was an attempt to beat the Guinness World Record of 50 writers in a single volume, where Celenic Earth Publication managed to get 109 writers in one volume.
